fall family time

Last week we had the pleasure of being in one of our favorite places on earth…Montreat, NC for a conference. During the conference we had some family and friends come up to spend time with us at a beautiful home in the mountains to experience peak colors weekend and some fall family time. We were able to get away to a local farm for some games, pictures and laughs. We also took some free time on Saturday afternoon to experience zip lining, which was a first for many of us. Below are some pictures of our time in Montreat and the surrounding areas, out enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

Candy even did it for her birthday!

The conference was good, and it was fun to be with new ministry colleagues and learn more about pastoring a small church, but what made our week was being with grandparents, family and friends. We were sad that Pops wasn’t able to make it up with Candy, but he was hard at work and we were happy that he was working with some really great clients that week.

Talks have begun about making this an annual trip…not necessarily the conference part, but definitely a vacation around fall in Montreat! Thanks, family & friends, for helping us to enjoy our time in one of our favorite pieces of heaven on earth. We love y’all!
